About

About

The Landmark London

The Landmark London

Opposite Marylebone station, The Landmark London occupies a grand Victorian railway hotel built at the turn of the twentieth century, its most striking feature an eight-storey glass-roofed atrium that floods the ground floor Winter Garden with natural light. Eleven event spaces branch off from there, led by the Grand Ballroom, which holds up to 750 guests for a reception and can divide into two soundproofed sections, alongside the smaller but equally ornate Marble Ballroom.

A building with this much natural light and this much period detail changes how production needs to think. Lexa’s approach at The Landmark London would account for the atrium’s daylight when planning screens and projection, and for the Grand Ballroom’s high ceilings and chandeliers when designing sound and lighting, so that corporate events here feel considered rather than simply installed. It’s the sort of venue where a well-planned rig matters as much as the equipment inside it.

The Grand Ballroom’s height and the atrium’s open volume both call for a PA system designed with genuine acoustic modelling behind it, not just added power, and that would be Lexa’s starting point here.

Sound for High Ceilings and Open Space

Presentation technology beneath a glass roof needs enough brightness to hold its own against natural daylight, a specific challenge Lexa’s approach would plan for from the outset.

Screens Built for a Daylit Atrium

Chandeliers, ornate mouldings and floor-to-ceiling windows all shape how a lighting design should work in the Grand Ballroom, moving between a bright daytime conference state and a fully dressed evening look.

Lighting Design for Victorian Architecture

With the Grand Ballroom able to divide into two soundproofed spaces, staging here would need the flexibility to run as one large production or two smaller, simultaneous events.

Staging for Weddings, Galas and Launches

For conferences and product launches reaching beyond Marylebone, Lexa’s hybrid streaming approach would connect this Victorian interior to a modern remote audience without friction.

./05

Hybrid and Live Streaming Capability

With eleven distinct event spaces on site, production management would need to coordinate multiple simultaneous events, each running to its own brief within the same historic building.
