Overlooking the Thames from its position on the Strand, The Savoy has been synonymous with London hospitality since 1889, and its Lancaster Ballroom, designed after an 18th century Parisian salon and opened in 1910, remains one of the city’s largest and most storied event spaces, holding up to 800 guests for a reception with its own built-in stage. The River Room, with views over Embankment Gardens, and a run of named private dining rooms taken from Gilbert and Sullivan operettas, add further character to a hotel with genuine breadth of scale.
