Kellogg's | A Toast To 88 Years

1,000 guests

Full event production for Kellogg's "A Toast To 88 Years" celebration at Kimpton Clocktower Manchester, marking 88 years of production at the brand's Trafford Park factory with staging, lighting, LED screens and full support for a 17-piece Showband, for 1,000 guests.

Introduction

Step 1

Brief

Kellogg’s needed an evening that properly marked 88 years of production at its Manchester site, built around celebration and legacy rather than a standard corporate party.

The brief called for a full transformation of the venue’s existing in-house staging and event space, built up rather than replaced, so the room would feel entirely bespoke to the occasion by the time guests took their seats.

Entertainment centred on a live 17-piece Showband performance, which meant full production support capable of handling a large live band alongside recognition segments and video content from the CEO.

The production needed to deliver real spectacle for the main celebration while still supporting a short long service awards segment and arrival reception, all within the same evening.

Solutions

01

Staging & Scenic Production

Lexa built directly on top of and in front of Kimpton Clocktower’s own in-house staging, adding stage risers, lighting risers and an entirely new front section with feature rounded steps leading down to the dance floor, fully carpeted and board-fronted in black. Many guests wouldn’t have known the difference between what they walked past on arrival and the stage in front of them by evening.

02

Event Lighting Design

A large-scale lighting show ran across the back of the stage, either side of it and flown throughout the room, combining stage effects, gobo effects, room wash, highlights, beams and features, all built to accompany the live band performance.

The Result

The Result

A Toast To 88 Years gave 1,000 guests a genuine celebration of nearly nine decades of production at Kellogg’s Manchester site, built around live entertainment rather than sentiment alone.

The staging transformation meant guests experienced a room built entirely for the occasion, with many unaware of how different it had looked earlier that same day.

Full production support for a 17-piece live Showband, alongside a long service awards segment hosted by Jenny Powell and video content from the CEO, gave the evening real scale without losing its sense of occasion.

Feedback from Kellogg’s events team was overwhelmingly positive, with guests reported to have had a genuinely great night throughout.
