INTRODUCTION

About

About

ACC Liverpool

ACC Liverpool

Opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 2008 on Liverpool’s UNESCO World Heritage waterfront, ACC Liverpool houses the BT Convention Centre, whose main auditorium seats up to 1,350 delegates and features two revolving seating drums that rotate 180 degrees to divide the space into smaller configurations. Interconnected with the M&S Bank Arena and Exhibition Centre Liverpool, the campus gives organisers access to Europe’s only linked arena, conference and exhibition facilities in one location.

A convention centre with genuinely rotating architecture calls for production that can adapt just as flexibly. Lexa’s approach at ACC Liverpool would work with the auditorium’s existing revolving drums, building sound, lighting and staging suited to conferences, lectures and exhibitions across the wider campus.
