Business Development Manager

LEXA is looking for a commercially focused Business Development Manager to create new relationships and bring high-quality corporate event production work into the business. This is a full-time UK role suited to someone who understands how agencies, venues, event organisers and corporate clients buy technical production. You should be based within practical reach of our London, Manchester or Birmingham and Stratford-upon-Avon operations and be comfortable travelling for meetings, site visits and events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and develop new business opportunities with corporate clients, agencies, venues and event organisers.

• Build a healthy, qualified sales pipeline through research, outreach, networking, referrals and industry relationships.

• Lead initial conversations, understand client objectives and introduce the right LEXA production capabilities.

• Coordinate with the production team to develop accurate, commercially sound proposals and presentations.

• Manage opportunities through the complete sales process from first contact to confirmed booking and handover.

• Maintain accurate pipeline, activity and forecasting information within the company CRM and reporting systems.

• Represent LEXA professionally at meetings, venue visits, networking events and industry functions.

• Support long-term growth by spotting new markets, partnerships and repeatable commercial opportunities.

What We’re Looking For:

• A strong track record in business development, sales or account growth within events, AV, production, venues or a related B2B sector.

• A practical understanding of corporate events and the technical production buying process.

• Confidence opening new relationships and progressing opportunities without relying solely on inbound enquiries.

• Excellent written communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

• Commercial judgement and the ability to balance client needs, production quality and profitability.

• Strong organisation, consistent follow-up and confidence using CRM and pipeline reporting systems.

• A full UK driving licence, the right to work in the UK and flexibility to travel when required.
