Freelance Set Builders & Carpenters

We are looking for experienced freelance set builders, carpenters and scenic crew to support corporate event installations across the UK. Work may include stage sets, scenic flats, fascia, lecterns, exhibition features, branded structures and bespoke finishing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, install and dismantle event set, scenic and carpentry elements safely and accurately.

• Interpret technical drawings, measurements, schedules and finish specifications.

• Prepare and work with timber, sheet materials, plastics, fabrics and standard scenic finishes.

• Complete on-site adjustments and problem solving while protecting venues and surrounding finishes.

• Use tools and access equipment safely and maintain an organised working area.

• Collaborate with staging, lighting, video, rigging and production teams throughout the build.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong professional experience in live events, corporate events or a closely related production environment.

• Excellent timekeeping, communication and teamwork.

• A calm, practical approach and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

• Professional conduct when representing LEXA in front of clients, venues and other suppliers.

• The right to work in the UK and flexibility to travel or work evenings and weekends when required.

• Relevant trade experience, CSCS, IPAF, PASMA or workshop qualifications are advantageous where appropriate.
